R-22 Buy Back Program
We buy R-22 and Other Recovered Refrigerants
Local delivery area: After collecting the refrigerant from your refrigerant recovery unit, we pick up your full recovery cylinders and return them the next delivery day ready to use. Alternately, we’ll swap the same number and size cylinders for cylinders that are clean, certified, and in a deep vacuum.
Outside delivery area: We pay shipping both ways when your cylinders contain over 300 lbs of reclaimable used refrigerant. Alternately, we’ll swap them with clean, certified, in a deep vacuum cylinders ready to use. Under 300 lbs? We’ll design a program to fit your needs.
Refrigerant will be weighed and tested – if cylinder(s) contain mixed refrigerants, you may choose to dispose of the refrigerant or have the cylinder(s) returned. Testing of your refrigerant is done with a Neutronics Gas Analyzer and/or a Gas Chromatograph.
We also buy R-134A, R-11, R-12, R-123, R-113, R410A, R-500 and R-502 refrigerant.
Swap out – if your cylinders need recertification, valves, handles, or painting we charge very reasonable fees. We send you a check when your balance reaches $100, or apply the balance to your invoice.

Trigon Refrigerant Group uses state-of-the-art equipment to reclaim used refrigerants to ARI-700 standards. Our equipment separates the oils, acids, moisture, particulates and air. Our attention to detail results in the highest refrigerant yield.
Each year the EPA requires detailed reporting on refrigerant loss which can be no higher than 1.5%. Trigon Refrigerant Group consistently performs better than the expected standards. Our refrigerant is certified by an independent laboratory. After the refrigerant is reclaimed our custom made packing bench quickly packages the refrigerant for your use.
Laboratory Testing
Every customer will receive a lab report to ARI-700 standards upon request. Every customer will receive an EPA Compliance report detailing the contents and percentages of refrigerant in their recovery cylinders and the action taken.
Trigon Refrigerant uses an independent third party EPA certified laboratory,
Intertek, to test all refrigerants to make sure all impurities are removed and the refrigerants are as good as or better than virgin refrigerant.
